We want to inform you about an important update regarding student cell phone use during the school day. In accordance with newly passed Missouri legislation (Senate Bill 68), all public schools must adopt policies limiting the use of personal electronic devices by students during the entire school day.
Effective with the start of the 2025-2026 school year:
-Students may not use their cell phones or other personal electronic communication devices at any time during the school day, from 7:50 AM to 3:48 PM.
-This includes passing periods, lunch, and any other non-instructional time during the school day.
-Phones and other personal electronic communication devices must remain powered off or silenced and stored out of sight – in backpacks, lockers, or designated storage areas – throughout the school day.
If a student needs to contact a parent during the day, they may do so through the school office. Likewise, if you need to get in touch with your child during school hours, please contact the main office, and we will ensure the message is delivered promptly.
Additional information, including how the policy will be enforced and the role of staff in supporting students, can be found in our student handbooks https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1N_QDxgtJwTLdK7uGb8wBAxAE-fIIhLlg?usp=drive_link
Thank you for your support as we work together to help our students thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your building principal.
