Election Public Notice
The Niangua R-V School District will accept declarations of candidacy from any persons interested in running for a position on the School Board in the April 3, 2018 election. There are two (2) positions open each for three year terms and one (1) position open for a two year term. Persons interested may file at the superintendent’s office located at 301 Rumsey Street, Niangua Mo. Filing will begin on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. and will continue during the district’s regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Filing will not occur on days that the school district is closed due to inclement weather. Filing will also not occur on the following holiday vacation, December 25, 2017 through January 1, 2018. Filing will end on January 16, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.

Marshfield Area Community Foundation awards the Niangua R-V School District with 2 grants in the Fall of 2017 to purchase awnings for the multiple entry way doors of the school and Lego Robotics Kits for the STEM department. In 2016 the Foundation supported the purchase of
picnic tables for the courtyard and audio equipment for the business department.

Juniors will be selling Christmas Candy Grams for $1 each and Singing Grams for $2 each. Sign up and pay a Junior or Mrs. Corban or Mrs. Donaldson by Dec. 15th. There will be Candy Cane Grams and Jolly Rancher Grams available. Christmas Carols will be presented at lunch or before school in the halls on Dec. 21 or 22. Candy Grams will be delivered at lunch on Dec. 21 or 22.
There are applications for Share Your Christmas, a program that coordinates various types of Christmas assistance for families. If you would like a form, please come by the office.
Coffee will be for sale in the mornings before school from 7:30-8:00 for grades 9-12 for $1 in the elementary teacher workroom. Hot chocolate will also be available for $1 for grades 7-12. This is to be consumed in classrooms with teachers’ permission.
All juniors will be taking the ASVAB on Tuesday, December 12 at 8:30 in Mrs. Corban’s room.
Speech and Debate will host an Ugly Christmas Sweater Day on Thursday, December 21. There is a prize for the "best" one!
